I have been growing out my hair, to cut, for a long time since I found out one of my closest friends has Alopecia, which is one of the main reasons why I want to raise money for the Australian Alopecia Areata Foundation Inc. I can only imagine how hard it would get sometimes to have no hair or patches of hair loss, so if I can cut off some of the hair that I am very grateful to have, it is a small thing that I can do to make someone feel great! My hair will grow back, but others hair may not, which is why I think fundraising for Alopecia is so important, to help continue to raise awareness about this disease and so that my hair can help make a wig for someone. My friend's strength constantly inspires me and I have always said that I would do this for her, so now it's my time to raise money and cut off my locks for a great cause!
