Story

My name is Mia and I am cutting my hair off for kids with Alopecia.  I decided to grow my hair when Eryn my Godsister cut off her hair for a wig for kids with Alopecia. I was 6 years old with a chin length bob.  I have been growing my hair for 3 years and it is now long enough to cut off for a wig.
Why I decided to grow my hair is: People would tease you about having no hair.  So I think it is important to donate my hair so a wig can be made for a child with Alopecia.  I am hoping that a wig that is made from my hair will made a child happy.
Alopecia is a medical condition causing hair loss and inability to grow hair on some or all parts of the body.
My hair will be sent wig makers who specialize in making hair pieces for medical purposes. Your donations will also go to supporting the Wigs For Kids program, which provides financial grants to help families with the costs of wigs.
It would be incredible if each of you can donate as little as $2 because as you all know, every little bit counts, in making a child‘s life a little bit better.
